On Campus Early Street Ministry
This fascinating collection of broadcasts is like a time capsule of the turbulent 60’s and early 70’s when there was much unrest concerning the Vietnam War. Vern went out on the Berkeley campus with a soap box and began to preach and engage students and pedestrians with questions about the meaning of life and man’s relationship with God.
A free exchange of ideas was encouraged as Vern challenged them to think about God as a personal experience and give voice to their efforts to understand God’s working in their life or the absence of that experience. Nancy had the idea of putting these taped discussions on the radio and this was the origin of “On Campus” pure street ministry!
We hope you enjoy listening.
